Hurricane Laura Assistance

  • FEMA Mobile Unit will be in the Sabine Parish Police Jury board room all this week (Sept. 21-25) from 10-4 for registering, updating, and answering questions.

    FEMA Disaster Unit will be in the Sabine Parish Court house parking lot for a drive thru from 7-5 this week.  This is a drive-thru for individuals to bring documents to be scanned for their FEMA claim.

    If individuals are filing for only generators or chainsaws, they need to make a notation in the comment section of the application, so their application will be processed quicker.
     

  • Deadline to apply for DSNAP benefits is Sept 23. Phone interviews must be done and residents can call in anytime now. The scheduled days to call in based on your last name has been stopped. Anyone can call now from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
     

  • People who sustained losses in Hurricane Laura in Sabine Parish can begin applying for assistance today by registering online at http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The toll-free numbers will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.  **Must File Homeowners Insurance Claim First
