Public Notice for Sealed Bids - Asphalt

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR SEALED BIDS

The Town of Many is accepting sealed bids on asphalt installed per ton on city streets for the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.   Contractor must pay for asphalt, labor and equipment to dig out and pack bottoms and seal with proper asphaltic oil; asphalt roller must be used to pack the top.

Bid #1 - Overlay - per ton

Bid #2 - Patching - per ton

Bid #3 – Preventative Coatings

Sealed bids will be received at City Hall, 965 San Antonio Ave., Many, LA 71449 until 3:00 P.M. on June 15, 2023 at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud.  The bids will then be presented to the Town Council for review and award at the June 20, 2023 Regular meeting.

Bidder should bid on bidder’s letterhead, with bid signed by bidder’s representative.  The sealed bid envelope should be plainly marked “Asphalt” showing the bidders name, bid opening date and time.  

Any bid received after the bid closing time will be returned unopened.  The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  Certificate of liability and workers comp insurance required before contractor begins work.  Once bid is awarded the Town will have to issue a purchase order for the work to begin.  Work must be completed within thirty (30) days of written work request.
